The Bluefin HC7 housing enables you to capture amazing high-definition video that you'll be proud to view and share. The Bluefin HC7 is designed for the Sony HDR-HC7 camcorder; with the perfect combination of camcorder control versus size, construction, design and functionality.

The Bluefin HC7 is in a class by itself. It has an advanced new control set that allows you to access the camcorder's touch screen menu to provide for One-Touch Manual White Balance Aperture and Shutter Speed Control, Tele Macro Mode and Smooth Slow Motion of the HC7 camcorder. 

The Bluefin HC7's Smart Grip Handlesput its main controls right at your fingertips. The Smart Grip handles are a non-penetrating IR control set that provide record/stand-by, manual focus, auto focus, auto focus lock, photo, and light system (Light & Motion light systems) controls. Without the need to mechanically align the camcorder, the Smart Grip Handles are ergonomically positioned for easier shooting without compromising water-tight integrity.

Also standard on the Bluefin HC7 is an underwater microphone, Flip Down Colour Correction Filter and an all glass zoom through lens.

The Bluefin HC7 supports Light & Motion's signature features; including elegant integration of lights, housings, optics, and monitors resulting in a well balanced system. Simply attach the camera to the tray, plug in the cables, and slide the unit into the housing. You'll love the positive snap as the camera locks into position for perfect optical alignment. Rather than struggling with fingerbiting clamps, watch the Double O-Ring seals glide into place as you rotate the Self Locking latches .

The Light & Motion's Bluefin HC7 system offers three different lens options. Each lens is designed with specific performance to create your best video ever!

Standard on every Light & Motion housing is the all-glass Zoom Macro Lens. The Zoom Macro Lens allows for a 65° viewing angle at full wide while still providing a macro ability for smaller subjects. This is a versatile lens that allows you to video an array of subjects while maintaining the focus ability through the full zoom range of the camcorder.

For big subjects and great "close focus wide-angle" performance, the Super Wide-Angle Lens increases the camcorder's field of view while maintaining edge-to-edge sharpness and no color aberration. The Super Wide-Angle Lens provides a wonderful 80° field-of-view at full wide while still maintaining two-thirds zoom-through focus capability. The Super Wide-Angle Lens is an economical wonder for large subjects and great compositional expansion.

For the small critter aficionados, the Light & Motion dedicated Macro Lens is the lens for you. If you desire to make the smallest ocean critter large on the big screen the Macro Lens is a must. Whether muck diving or capturing Pigmy-Sea Horses you can fill the screen with the Macro Lens' performance.

Light & Motion lenses are made of glass and aluminum and custom engineered for high-definition video. For extra protection every lens features double o-ring seals (a bore and face seal) for twice the security and a bayonet lock to prevent eliminate accidental rotation of the lens underwater.
