Nauticam NA-TG7 Underwater Housing (M52)
For the Olympus Tough TG-6 / TG-7
The NA-TG7 (M52) turns Olympus' rugged go-anywhere Tough compact into a true underwater imaging platform — a machined aluminium housing with proper control access and an M52-threaded port. This is the M52 version, which accepts M52-mount wet lenses and adapters; a bayonet-mount version (for the WWL-C / CMC bayonet system) is available separately. It fits both the TG-6 and TG-7.
Consider the NA-TG7 (M52) if you:
- Want the toughest go-anywhere compact underwater — the TG-7 (or TG-6) with its standout 1cm super-macro
- Want a simple, affordable, ultra-compact rig (0.67 kg housing)
- Prefer the M52 threaded port for M52-mount wet lenses and accessories
- Want the threaded-port option (a bayonet-mount version is also available — SKU 17820)

The Camera: Olympus Tough TG-7
New to the TG-7? Here's the context. Already know it well — skip to the housing below.
The Olympus Tough TG-7 is the latest in the IP6X-rated go-anywhere line, sharing a 12MP BSI CMOS sensor and TruePic VIII processor. The camera is waterproof, crushproof and freezeproof on its own, and its signature feature for underwater shooters is the 1cm minimum focus distance for true super-macro — now usable in a selectable Super Macro Focus mode within Aperture Priority, giving control over depth of field and clean backgrounds. The TG-7 adds depth-specific underwater white-balance presets and easier access to 4K video.
Key camera specifications
- 12MP BSI CMOS sensor; TruePic VIII processor
- Waterproof, crushproof and freezeproof body (IP6X)
- 4K 30p UHD video; 1080 120p high-speed video
- Selectable underwater white-balance modes (shallow / mid / deep)
- Super Macro Focus mode in Aperture Priority; 1cm minimum focus
The Housing
Lens compatibility: M52 threaded port
The NA-TG7 (M52) uses an M52 threaded port, accepting M52-mount wet lenses and accessories. This is the threaded-port alternative to the bayonet-mount (BM) version — choose this variant if your wet-optic accessories use the M52 thread, or the BM version (SKU 17820) for the WWL-C and CMC bayonet system.
Mission Control: every control within reach
Although the camera is waterproof on its own, the machined aluminium housing transitions it into a true underwater platform, with essential controls translated into large, well-placed, clearly-labelled buttons and dials.
Flash triggering
The NA-TG7 transmits the camera's internal flash to supported external strobes via Nauticam Universal Fiber Optic Cables, which plug directly into the Sea&Sea-style bulkheads on the front of the housing. An included diffuser can also be attached to use the internal flash as the primary light source.
Accessory mounting
The housing has both a cold-shoe and an M10 threaded mounting point for lighting accessories. It ships with stainless-steel stiffening brackets and a shutter release extension for use with the Flexitray II system; adding the tray, an adjustable right handle and optional strobe mounting balls (71311) creates a more stable platform with up to four accessory mounting points.
LCD magnifier
Rails (25123) can be fitted above and below the rear LCD window to accommodate the LCD Magnifier with dioptric adjustment (25106), which acts as a shade in bright conditions and magnifies the screen for judging critical focus.
