Nauticam Compact Macro Converter 1 (CMC-1, 4.5x)
The CMC-1 is a powerful water-contact super-macro lens optimised for fixed-lens compact, mirrorless and DSLR cameras. Designed as an underwater-specific corrective optic rather than an in-air adaptation, it delivers more magnification than any compact camera can achieve alone, with improved working distance for tiny, skittish subjects. As a guide, on a Sony RX100V it yields 2.3x the camera's native macro magnification at 1.4x the working distance; paired with the Olympus M.ZUIKO 60mm Macro on M43 it reaches a 2:1 reproduction ratio. It is precision-ground from low-dispersion optical glass with broadband anti-reflective coatings, housed in hard-anodized aluminium and nitrogen-purged. Depth rated to 100 metres.
Worth noting: the CMC-1 ships with the common 67mm threaded mount and a flush-mount adapter ring for direct attachment; flip lens holders (sold separately) make for the fastest changes underwater.
