The Canon EOS R1 is Canon's flagship mirrorless body, bringing 1DX-series professional features to the RF mount. A 24.2MP full-frame stacked BSI CMOS sensor pairs with Dual Pixel autofocus and new Cross-Type line-detection AF for class-leading speed and precision, even in difficult light. Its 9.44M-dot EVF is Canon's most advanced to date, and the camera records internal 6K 60 RAW and 4K 120 10-bit video.

The Housing
Lens compatibility and the N120 port system
The NA-R1 is built on Nauticam's N120 port system, giving access to Nauticam's full range of ports and in-house corrective optics — from glass and acrylic dome ports to the WACP series and the FCP system — to get the most from the R1's sensor. Native RF lenses are supported directly, with EF glass usable via Canon's adapter.
Mission Control: every control within reach
The NA-R1 brings Nauticam's signature ergonomics to the R1 — thoughtfully positioned controls, comfortable handles, and precision dials and levers placed where your fingers need them. The housing provides full access to all essential controls and customisable buttons, so professionals can tailor it to their exact shooting needs.
Flash triggering
The NA-R1 triggers external strobes through built-in fiber-optic bulkheads, with an optional manual or TTL flash trigger. Hardwired cable connections are also available via additional bulkheads, for maximum flexibility with strobes that don't support fiber-optic triggering.
Vacuum check and leak detection — standard
Nauticam's vacuum check and leak detection electronics ship with the NA-R1 as standard. Combined with the optional 25625 M16 Vacuum Valve II, the system continuously reports the housing's watertight, safe-to-dive status through a color-coded LED: solid vacuum, or vacuum loss. Leak detection runs on the same circuit, so any water intrusion triggers an audible and visual alarm.
The system is temperature-compensated, so it won't throw false alarms from a change in water temperature or from the camera heating up on an action-packed dive.
