Nauticam Mid-range Focus Optimizer 3 (MFO-3)
The Mid-range Focus Optimizer 3 (MFO-3) is a water-contact optic optimised for use with longer full-frame macro lenses (such as 90mm, 100mm and 105mm), converting them to roughly a 60mm equivalent for close-focusing, wide-angle macro and blackwater work without swapping camera lens or port.
It delivers enhanced focus-to-the-glass performance while retaining ample working distance when needed. Stated specifications include an M67 mount thread, dimensions of OD 84mm x H 114.2mm, 602g in air (negative 120g in water), a maximum magnification of 0.9x, a lens/converted field of view of 23 degrees / 38 degrees, working distance of 0-1500mm, a four-element three-group construction and a depth rating of 100m. Despite its larger size it has a lower in-water weight than the SMC-3.
