The Nauticam NA-C400 puts Canon's full-frame 6K Cinema Line camera into a professional aluminium underwater housing built on the proven N120 cinema port system. Because it shares the N120 port opening with other Canon RF and EF cameras such as the EOS R5 II and R5 C, you can run identical lens and port combinations across a mixed Canon fleet on the same production. Tool-less setup, in-housing battery swaps and Nauticam's standard vacuum check and leak detection make it as dependable on the boat as it is capable in the water.

The Canon EOS C400 is the next evolution in Canon's C-series Cinema Line, built around a full-frame 6K back-illuminated (BSI) sensor and the large RF mount. It adds mechanical ND filters, Dual Pixel AF II and 16 stops of dynamic range. Canon's C-series cinema cameras have long been among the most versatile for underwater filmmakers, with legendary underwater colour, intuitive and accessible menus and excellent control customisability — making the C400 well suited to single-shooter situations and to larger productions where flexibility and dependability are key.

The Housing
Lens compatibility and the N120 port system
The NA-C400 features the large N120 port opening shared with other Canon RF and EF-mount cameras such as the EOS R5 II and R5 C. This allows identical lens and port combinations when running a combination of RF-mount Canon cameras on a project with Nauticam housings, and gives access to Nauticam's premium water-contact optics across the N120 range.
Mission Control: every control within reach
Nauticam engineers obsess over placing essential controls where they are needed most, so you never miss a shot hunting for a button, dial or lever. The cinema line-up features large cinema-style lens control dials for precise focus and zoom, with exposure and capture controls within easy reach of the ergonomic handles.
In addition to mechanical controls for power, zoom, focus and lens release, the NA-C400 adds electronic controls at the rear and on both sides of the housing via the camera's remote functionality. The left-handle controls cover 'Up', 'Down', 'ISO+' and 'ISO-'. The right-handle controls cover 'Rec', 'Fn3', 'Fn4', 'IRIS+' and 'IRIS-'. The main control board accesses 'Left', 'Right', 'Up', 'Down', 'Set', '1', '2', 'Set' and 'MENU/REC Review'.
Battery options
The NA-C400 can accommodate either the BP-A30N or BP-A60N batteries, or a combination of the BP-A30N and an FXLION NANO THREE 150Wh Micro V-Mount battery for extended runtimes.
Internal LCD monitor support
The C400's detachable LCD screen integrates easily into the NA-C400. The monitor is supported inside the housing and mounted at the rear of the camera with a supplied bracket, so it can be viewed underwater through the shaded rear window for a streamlined filming solution.
Monitoring — HDMI and SDI
The NA-C400 supports Nauticam's optional HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 1.4 systems for external monitors or recorders in Nauticam housings, plus SDI output for surface monitoring or supported on-camera monitors. The housing has 1× M28 and 5× M16 bulkheads to accommodate a variety of mounted or remote configurations.

Vacuum check and leak detection — standard
The NA-C400 ships with a vacuum valve pre-installed and supports Nauticam's field-tested Vacuum Check and Leak Detection System. Drawing a slight vacuum with the compact hand pump confirms the housing is sealed before entering the water and throughout the dive, with a colour-coded LED at the rear showing vacuum status. Leak detection shares the same circuit, triggering an audible and visual alarm on any water intrusion. The system is temperature-compensated to eliminate false alarms.
