Like every 8M, the head, reflector and LED module unscrew, so the same light can later be re-tasked with a different module or beam.

Why the Video 8M 8000lm CRI96

Reference-grade colour rendering

The high-CRI LED module renders a colour rendering index of 96 (Ra) — among the highest available in an underwater video light. Reds, skin tones and subtle reef hues come back natural and true, with far less correction needed in post.

Soft, even beam

Fitted with the standard 90° reflector and dome lens, the light throws a soft, wide beam with smooth edges and no hot spots, both in air and underwater. Swap to a 50° or 12° reflector to tighten the beam for distant subjects or macro.

Self-contained and simple

No separate battery canister or trailing cable — the battery lives in the light. The included bracket fits straight onto standard arm systems, so the whole rig assembles in seconds.

Tough, modular design

The LED cannot break and has an almost unlimited lifetime, and integrated over-temperature protection keeps the housing within a safe range for brief use in air. The modular head lets you re-task the light with any compatible LED module.

Travel-safe Li-Ion battery

The 99 Wh battery has passed the mandatory UN38.3 test required by IATA and sits below the 100 Wh limit, so it is certified for air transport. A protection circuit guards against over-discharge, deep discharge, over-current and short circuit, and a two-digit display shows remaining runtime.

Reflectors

Change the beam by changing the reflector. The 90° and 50° reflectors suit white-light modules; the 50° UV reflector is required for the 365nm and 385nm UV modules.
