Nauticam NA-RX100VII Underwater Housing
For the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 VII
The NA-RX100VII takes Sony's long-zoom 1" compact underwater — a 20.1MP stacked sensor behind a 24-200mm-equivalent Zeiss zoom, with fast AF and blackout-free shooting — in a compact aluminium housing. Built on Nauticam's N50 interchangeable port system with HDMI monitor output, it pairs the lens with wet optics and ships with vacuum and leak monitoring as standard.
Consider the NA-RX100VII if you:
- Want the long-reach 1" compact — a 24-200mm-equivalent Zeiss zoom with 20fps blackout-free shooting
- Want a compact, rugged rig with N50 wet-optic options — WWL-1 wide-angle, CMC macro, SMC super-macro
- Shoot UHD 4K with S-Log3/HLG and want HDMI output for an external monitor
- Need reliable safety monitoring for demanding dives

The Camera: Sony RX100 VII
New to the RX100 VII? Here's the context. Already know it well — skip to the housing below.
The seventh RX100 keeps the longer 24-200mm-equivalent zoom (shared with the RX100 VI) that sets it apart from the popular RX100 V. A redesigned 20.1MP 1" Exmor RS BSI CMOS sensor pairs with an improved BIONZ X processor and a 357-point hybrid AF system, with 20fps blackout-free silent shooting and real-time tracking and Eye-AF. It captures UHD 4K downsampled from the full sensor width, Full HD up to 120fps, and a dedicated HFR mode up to 960fps, plus a mic jack and Steady Shot Active stabilisation for video.

The Housing
Lens compatibility and the N50 port system
The NA-RX100VII uses Nauticam's N50 interchangeable port system. The standard port (included) allows the full zoom range and accepts the 25107 M67 flip diopter holder; at 90mm-equivalent and above, the camera can use the SMC-1 for true super-macro. For wide-angle, swap to the 38703 N50 Short Port with bayonet mount to run the WWL-1 (130° field of view; zoom usable to 65mm-equivalent), and the WWL-1 can be changed underwater for the CMC-1 or CMC-2 to give macro on the same dive.
Mission Control: every control within reach
The NA-RX100VII places controls where they're most needed. A red Record button sits within easy reach of the right side even with an optional tray, and the pop-up flash can be raised or stowed with the camera inside the housing — no need to preset it before insertion, allowing quick switches between artificial and ambient light. Shutter and aperture control wheels are easy to use, with a grooved front dial for fingertip control. A secure rotary latch seals the housing, and the two-stage trigger differentiates half- and full-press.
HDMI output
The NA-RX100VII has an M16 bulkhead opening to support HDMI output for video. By adding the optional 25028 socket extension and 25032 custom HDMI bulkhead, it works with external monitor housings such as the NA-502B-H or the Atomos Ninja V housing (HDMI 1.4 connection only).
Vacuum check and leak detection — standard
Nauticam's vacuum check and leak detection electronics ship with the NA-RX100VII as standard. Combined with the optional 25624 M14 Vacuum Valve II, the system continuously reports the housing's watertight, safe-to-dive status through a color-coded LED: solid vacuum, or vacuum loss. Leak detection runs on the same circuit, so any water intrusion triggers an audible and visual alarm.
The system is temperature-compensated, so it won't throw false alarms from a change in water temperature or from the camera heating up on an action-packed dive.
