The Nauticam NA-Z8 puts Nikon's 45.7MP full-frame mirrorless flagship into the world's most refined underwater housing. Built on the field-proven NA-Z6/7 and Z9 designs, it brings every essential control within reach of the moulded handles, runs the N120 port system (with full F-mount support via the FTZ adapter), and ships with Nauticam's vacuum check and leak-detection system as standard. The result is a system that is as intuitive on the boat as it is dependable in the water.

Why the NA-Z8

F- and Z-mount compatible

The N120 port system takes Z-mount full-frame lenses, and the FTZ adapter opens the door to your F-mount glass with the same port configuration as an F-mount DSLR system. Dedicated F and Z lens-release buttons make swapping straightforward.

Mission Control ergonomics

Essential controls sit as close to the handles as possible — dual thumb-levers, a front Fn1/Fn2 lever and a nested ISO lever — so exposure and review stay at your fingertips.

Cooling fins

The camera tray is designed with heat dissipation in mind: baffles spread the Z8's heat across a larger surface area to help the camera stay cool during demanding 8K video.

Enhanced viewfinders

Pair the Z8's 3,690k-dot OLED EVF with Nauticam's Full-Frame enhanced viewfinders (straight or angled) for edge-to-edge visibility, added working distance and tack-sharp composition.

Flash triggering

Ships with the manual LED flash trigger (26350) pre-installed; an optional TTL LED trigger (26308) is available. Both are coin-cell powered and fire supported strobes through the built-in fibre-optic bulkheads.

Premium professional optics

Access Nauticam's water-contact optics — the WACP-1 with the Z 28-75mm f/2.8 delivers 130° at 28mm, and the SMC-3/SMC-2 push the Z MC 105mm macro beyond 1:1 with fast flip deployment.

HDMI output to a monitor

An M24 bulkhead supports a clean HDMI 2.0 feed to a monitor/recorder housing (e.g. NA-Ninja5), mounted via the M10 or 1/4-20 points on top of the housing.

Vacuum check & leak detection

Included as standard. With an accessory vacuum valve the system gives constant, temperature-compensated, colour-coded confirmation that the housing is sealed — and warns audibly and visually on any water intrusion.
