The A6700 is Sony's follow-up in its popular A6000-series APS-C line, borrowing much of its technology from the company's cinema, vlogging and full-frame Alpha siblings. A 26MP BSI CMOS sensor paired with advanced processing and a dedicated AI unit delivers top-tier autofocus with subject recognition, and the video specifications are strong for the class.

The Housing
Lens compatibility and the N85 port system
The NA-A6700 is built on Nauticam's N85 port system for Sony E-mount APS-C lenses, with a range of optical-glass and acrylic ports plus access to Nauticam's wet optics. The camera drops in without any control presetting, and port changes are effortless.
Mission Control: every control within reach
The NA-A6700 features an integrated handle system that gives excellent control access even with thick gloves, with ideal placement of the shutter release and a thumb lever to actuate the AE-L / AF-L button — plus the customisable C3 button — from the right handle. The housing is machined from a solid block of aluminium and hard-anodised against salt-water corrosion, with marine-grade stainless and plastic parts, backed by a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
Flash triggering
Reliable rapid-fire manual flash triggering is available using the 36315 Mini Flash Trigger for NA-A6600 (the same trigger as the A6600 housing) — the NA-A6700 comes fiber-optic ready and accepts the Universal Fiber Optic Cable (26216). Strobes and arms attach via the included 1" accessory mounting balls. Electrical triggering remains an option for legacy lighting, using an accessory electrical bulkhead (25056).
Vacuum check and leak detection — standard
Nauticam's vacuum check and leak detection electronics ship with the NA-A6700 as standard. Combined with the optional 25624 M14 Vacuum Valve II, the system continuously reports the housing's watertight, safe-to-dive status through a color-coded LED: solid vacuum, or vacuum loss. Leak detection runs on the same circuit, so any water intrusion triggers an audible and visual alarm.
