Nauticam NA-S5II Underwater Housing
For the Panasonic Lumix S5II / S5IIX
The Nauticam NA-S5II is a robust, ergonomic housing for the Panasonic Lumix S5 II and S5 IIX. It provides unrestricted access to all camera controls and functions, positioning critical controls such as AF-ON directly at the photographer's fingertips. A one-hand rotary housing lock, now standard across Nauticam's more compact mirrorless line, makes opening and closing simple.
Consider the NA-S5II if you:
- Want a feature-rich full-frame video and stills platform at an accessible price.
- Shoot extended 4K video and need a camera with built-in cooling for long record times.
- Value class-leading in-body image stabilisation for handheld underwater video.
- Already own Canon EF-mount N120 gears and ports and want to reuse them via the Sigma MC-21 adapter.

The Housing
EF and L lens support. Sigma's MC-21 EF-to-L adapter allows Canon and Sigma EF-mount lenses to be used with the S5II/X. The housing accommodates the adapter and supports the existing focus/zoom gears and N120 extension ring and port combinations for those lenses. Full compatibility is detailed on the N120 Panasonic L-Mount port chart.
Mission Control. Essential controls are placed close to the handles for natural reach. A thumb lever on the right rear accesses AF-ON without releasing the handle, an additional lever switches focus mode (C/S/MF), and a multi-directional pad navigates the menu and moves focus points.
Flash triggering. For rapid-fire manual flash triggering, the NA-S5II works with the Mini Flash Trigger (26305), which uses small LEDs to trigger external flashes via Nauticam Universal Fibre Optic Cables (26216). The Panasonic DMW-FL70 flash is not supported within the housing.
Vacuum and leak detection. The Nauticam vacuum check and leak detection electronics are included as standard. Combined with the optional M14 vacuum valve (25624), the system continually monitors watertight, safe-to-dive status via a colour-coded LED. Leak detection is built into the same circuit and is temperature compensated to prevent false alarms.
