Vacuum Check System
Nauticam's exceptionally comprehensive vacuum check system allows the underwater photographer to confirm watertight integrity before entering the water. This system provides additional peace of mind with expensive camera equipment and fewer lost dives due to minor equipment issues. The system is comprised of two parts, a one way vacuum valve and an internal electronic monitoring circuit. The vacuum valve, with the help of a small hand pump, creates a vacuum inside the housing. A simple color coded LED lighting system lets the user know that the vacuum is solid, or that the housing is losing vacuum. Leak detection is built into the same circuit, so if there is water intrusion, an audible and visual indication will occur. All the latest Nauticam housings ship with the required internal electronic monitoring circuitry.
