Nauticam NA-A7V Underwater Housing
For the Sony α7 V
The NA-A7V takes Sony's balanced hybrid underwater — a 33MP partially-stacked sensor with flagship-level autofocus, 16 stops of dynamic range and blackout-free 30fps shooting, in a rugged aluminium housing. Built on Nauticam's N100 port system, it gives fingertip access to every key control, runs Sony FE (and adapted EF) glass with Nauticam's optics range, and ships with vacuum and leak monitoring as standard.
Consider the NA-A7V if you:
- Want a balanced hybrid — 33MP partially-stacked sensor, flagship AF, 16 stops of dynamic range
- Mix blackout-free 30fps stills with 4K 60p (7K-oversampled) and 4K 120p video
- Shoot Sony FE glass (or EF via adapters) on the N100 system with Nauticam Water Contact Optics
- Want a rugged aluminium rig with reliable safety monitoring

The Camera: Sony α7 V
New to the α7 V? Here's the context. Already know it well — skip to the housing below.
The Sony α7 V is the latest in the α7 line and the first to use a 33MP partially-stacked Exmor RS full-frame sensor, which brings faster readout, reduced rolling shutter and several flagship-level advantages — better subject recognition and tracking, faster continuous shooting and up to 16 stops of dynamic range. The new BIONZ XR2 processor with a built-in AI unit sharpens autofocus, color accuracy and auto white balance, enabling blackout-free 30fps shooting with full-time AF, 7K-oversampled 4K 60p and high-speed 4K 120p video.

The Housing
Lens compatibility and the N100 port system
The NA-A7V is built around Nauticam's N100 port system, supporting native Sony FE lenses with optical-glass and acrylic ports, and EF lenses via an E-mount to EF adapter plus an N100-to-N120 adapter. Beyond conventional optics, it works with Nauticam's Water Contact Optics — the FCP, WACP and WWL lines for wide-angle, and the MFO and SMC for macro and super-macro — while the EMWL opens up combined macro/wide-angle perspectives.
Mission Control: every control within reach
In true Nauticam fashion, essential controls sit as close to the handles as possible — positioned where your fingers need them rather than mirroring the camera's button layout. Dials carry rubberised finger grooves and the levers are tuned for smooth operation. A patented port-locking lever makes lens changes quick, and the locking latches open the housing fast for battery and media swaps.
HDMI output
A large-bore M24 bulkhead at the front of the housing supports HDMI 2.0, or HDMI 1.4 with a step-down adapter to M16, for external monitors and recorders.
Vacuum check and leak detection — standard
Nauticam's vacuum check and leak detection electronics ship with the NA-A7V as standard. Combined with the optional 25624 M14 Vacuum Valve II, the system continuously reports the housing's watertight, safe-to-dive status through a color-coded LED: solid vacuum, or vacuum loss. Leak detection runs on the same circuit, so any water intrusion triggers an audible and visual alarm.
The system is temperature-compensated, so it won't throw false alarms from a change in water temperature or from the camera heating up on an action-packed dive.
